Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is a dynamic Primary Care focused organisation working collaboratively with Independent Practices and Clusters to deliver a multidisciplinary model of care for its local population.

The Health Board has a number of exciting opportunities available for Newly Qualified GPs;

The Role: 
Working in one of the following settings;

  1. Health Board Practice

  2. GP Out of Hours

  3. Urgent Primary Care Centre


Responsibilities include:

    • Undertake Patient Consultations (face to date and/or telephone)

    • Check and sign prescriptions where clinically appropriate

    • Review and action letters, results, etc

    • Provide advice and support to staff as necessary

The Location: 
There are a number of Health Board practices, GP Out of Hours and Urgent Primary Care Centres across north Wales, so whether you are looking to be by the sea, the mountains, within a town or city we have it all! With great road and rail links to the rest of the UK.

Our services cover the following counties;

  • Conwy 

  • Denbighshire 

  • Gwynedd

  • Anglesey

  • Flintshire 

  • Wrexham

Urgent Primary Care GP – Portfolio Role

This is a very exciting time for the development of urgent care across north Wales. In the last few years the Health Board have been working hard, developing new ways of working to ensure that patients are seen by the most appropriate clinician, in the right place at the right time.

We are now in a fantastic position and to be able to look at salaried clinical roles that encompass all or some of the services outlined below. We are also able to link this into primary care and provide a really inspiring role for portfolio clinicians. Rotations through all elements of urgent primary care under a salaried contract allowing for flexible working and a better work life balance.

Portfolio role can include:

  • Health Board Practice

  • Single Integrated Clinical Assessment and Triage (SICAT)

  • Urgent Primary Care Centres

  • 111 & GP OOH
